Leading, managing and participating in organisations is a challenging undertaking. To do it well requires a great technical skill set as well as a broad interpersonal skill set. In many organisations the technical skill set is trained and rewarded without balance given to interpersonal skills. The truth is, no team or individuals will be effective in your organisation unless both areas are addressed. If you’re a plumber, rocket scientist or accountant we’re probably not going to be able to help you unblock pipes, beat gravity or balance the books- but we can definitely help you do it more effectively with the people you work with.

All our facilitators have a background in real world leadership (from Antarctic expeditions to Government Departments) and are focused on letting their experiences help guide and shape the development of their participants. We are not interested in trying to apply text book theory to real world problems. We are interested in helping you find practical solutions to the challenges that you face in your organisation every day.

The reality is behaviour takes a long time to change. Your team will not become a high performing team in one day and your leadership will not be established by the end of the week – however, small changes can be achieved and a whole lot of small changes add up… well, you get the picture! Experiential learning (learning by experiencing) is a great tool in the development of people and a fantastic way to step away from the day to day challenges of the office. It’s definitely not the only one, but used wisely, it can be a key component of behavioural change. Precisely the reason that we’ll use it with assisting people in the growth and development of their behaviour.

We believe that fun is a vital and sufficient reason for your organisation to leave the office and have some time out. We know from previous experience that even when you didn’t plan it, great learning takes place during ‘fun’ activities. Relationships are developed, barriers are broken and conversations started. It is the first step in developing relationships, and relationships are the foundation of teams.

When you want to take your team further then we can design programs incorporating:

  • Leadership in practice
  • Teams; theory and reality
  • The project life cycle
  • Effective communication
  • Facilitated conversation
